THE HISTORY OF CHEMEX

Chemex first launched in 1941 by Peter J. Schlumbohm, a German chemist which at that time was studying in America. INSTRUCTION TO BREW A COFFEE USING CHEMEX


  • Ratio to be used is 1/14. This for an easier of the coffee brewing. The comparison consists of 1 gram of coffee for 14 ml of water or 10 grams of coffee for one cup.


  • Grind 25 grams of coffee with medium to coarse scale on the grinder. If the coffee is too thick due to the extraction is too long, then you just need to change it again into coarser scale than before.

  • Heat water into 90 degrees Celsius. after the water is heated, soaked filter paper with hot water. This is to reduce the smell and chemicals that exist on filter paper and heat the Chemex container. Then stirred and dispose the water.
